Phytophtora is a pest which can affect strongly chestnuts trees. The declines can degrade the tree health and consequentlly the chestnuts production can decrease significantly. Moreover, the impacts on Sativa type rootstocks, very sensitive to Phytophtora, can lead to a loss of local varietes. This problem concerns all the chesnut region in France. Numerical tools have been developed by researchers from INRAE in order to identify impacts of Phytophtora. The Science to Practice event allows to spread this information. Futhermore, another objective is to present the state of the art of the research on Sativa type rootstocks in orer to preserve local varietes.
