SustForest Plus Project publishes a series of resin tool technical fact sheets

The SustForest Plus Project has just published a series of nine technical fact sheets, which will allow local blacksmiths and small metal workshops to manufacture the main resin tools.

Each fact sheet, available in PDF (in Spanish) on the website of this INTERREG SUDOE project, is dedicated to a specific tool or accessory, of which a general description is provided: what it is for and how it is used. In addition, for each tool, the materials, dimensions and phases for manufacture are described.

One of the most important elements of the sheets are the dimensional sketches of each of the described pieces, which can also be downloaded from this website.

Although a brief explanation of how to use each of the tools is given in the sheets, the aim of this manual is only to describe the parameters necessary for their manufacture: it is not a resination manual. It should be borne in mind that, although the resination technique is relatively easy to learn, only with the help of an instructor can it become a profitable and safe activity for the resin tapper, and safe from the phytosanitary point of view. For this reason, it is not recommended to make the tools for starting in the resination in a self-taught way.

To access the technical information of each card, it is necessary to click on the image of each one of them.

Cesefor Foundation, CNPF and EFI (members of INCREDIBLE consortium) are also partners, together other entities, of SustForest Plus Project.
