The 1st SouthWest Europe Forest Bioeconomy Forum will be held in Valladolid from May 8 to 10, organized by the Junta de Castilla y León (reginal Government), the Business Competitiveness Institute (ICE) and the Cesefor Foundation. This meeting is held to address the sustainable use of forest resources and the development of public policies that stimulate innovation and collaboration among the actors involved in the sector. The Forum also aims to improve knowledge and the exchange of good practices to achieve concrete advances of companies and workers, and show in that line various projects that are being launched.
In this framework INCREDIBLE project will be presented to policy makers, researchers, forestry owners associations, technological innovation and research companies and universities, and will be held the Scoping Seminar of the iNet of Resins too, with a program that includes different work sessions - already specific to the INCREDIBLE project - to put into operation this iNet of supra-regional scope, which will bring together the main representatives of the resin sector from France, Spain, Portugal and others Mediterranean countries.
The INCREDIBLE project aims to show how Non-Wood Forest Products (NWFP) can play an important role in supporting sustainable forest management and rural development, by creating networks to share and exchange knowledge and expertise. ‘Innovation Networks of Cork, Resins and Edibles in the Mediterranean basin’ (INCREDIBLE) promotes cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation to highlight the value and potential of NWFPs in the region.
‘Innovation Networks of Cork, Resins and Edibles in the Mediterranean basin’ (INCREDIBLE) project receives funding from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme under grant agreement Nº 774632
